Advisory Systems Engineer
Designed, developed, and implemented a variety of Web-based business systems. Served on numerous committees that determined the company’s overall information architecture. Promoted the concept of Web-based systems throughout the company. Specific accomplishments include:
Sales Order Drawing Access System. Reengineered and reimplemented a legacy Web-based system that delivered order status information and engineering drawings to customers and field service personnel.
Technical Assistance Center Bulletin Board System. Migrated product line case history, patch management, and technical notes from Lotus Notes to a completely new and redesigned ASP.NET system.
Job Certification System. Stored, analyzed, and reported training course completion and proficiency ratings for hourly field personnel. System benefits included decreased union grievances and improved personnel management.
Marketing Lead Tracking System. Stored lists of prospective customers gathered at trade shows and by direct mail response. Managed multi-step marketing campaigns. Improved effectiveness of customer contact and increased company sales.
ITS Asset System. Stored and reported the location and owner history for all company IT equipment. Improved accountability for equipment and reduced loss.
